Elihu enters the conversation in Job 32 with anger toward Job and his friends. As the youngest among them, Elihu declares multiple times, "Therefore I say, 'Listen to me, I also will declare my opinion.' I also will answer my part, I too will declare my opinion." Job 32:10, 17

Job never claimed to be sinless. His focus was defending his integrity against the false accusations against him. Job's testimony before others consistently honored God. Even when his children gathered for feasts, Job offered sacrifices on their behalf (Job 1:5). Yet, in his suffering, it seemed no one stood by his side, but we'll see the Lord intercede soon.

Be encouraged: no matter what challenges you face, Jesus is interceding for you. "Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." (Romans 8:34). John echoes this in 1 John 2:1, calling Jesus our advocate. The writer of Hebrews adds, "He always lives to make intercession for us." Hebrews 7:25

We may not be sinless, but as God's kids we're made saints through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Take heart- Jesus stands as our advocate.
