Let me encourage you to take action now!
As we journey through the book of Job, we gain a deeper understanding of his profound suffering. Job cries out about being mocked by those younger and rougher than him. He has lost his loved ones, his wealth, and his health, and not only do his friends judge him harshly, but he also endures relentless ridicule.
In his anguish, Job laments, "And now my soul is poured out because of my plight; The days of affliction take hold of me. My bones are pierced in me at night, And my gnawing pains take no rest." Job 30:16-17
Yet, in his distress, Job turns to the Lord. He doesn't seek comfort in other people or things; instead, he pours out his heart to God, saying, "I cry out to You, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You regard me." Job 30:20
No matter how we feel, do we bring our thoughts and emotions to the Lord? Job's example shows us the right response, and we should be encouraged to follow it. Let's be 1 Peter 5:7 believers today, casting all our cares on Him because He cares for us!
