Roar like a lion.
As you read Job 12 today, notice Job's bold response to his friends. Reflect on his position-deep in life's agony, strained by faltering friendships- he proclaims unshakable truths about the Father.
Consider rereading Job 12:13-25 so Job's words can sink in: "With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding. If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt; If He imprisons a man, there can be no release. If He withholds the waters, they dry up; If He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth. With Him are strength and prudence. The deceived and the deceiver are His." Job 12:13-16
This is Job's anthem amid mayhem! You can almost hear him roaring like a lion, declaring these truths with unshakable conviction. He's proclaiming, "This is my God. I know Him. I haven't forgotten." Somewhere in their dialogue, Job's friends lost sight of his standing before the Lord, fixating on the man rather than the majesty of God.
Let these truths be your anthem today. No matter the mayhem in your life, shout, speak, or simply declare the Father's power & greatness! Roar like a lion, for, "In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?" Job 12:10
