It's never too late!
In Job's response to his friends, notice how he sometimes speaks directly to the Lord. Job says, "Your hands have made me and fashioned me, An intricate unity; Yet You would destroy me. Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay. And will You turn me into dust again?" Job 10:8-9
The prophet Jeremiah was once told by the Lord to visit a potter. As he watched the potter reshape the clay into a new vessel, the Lord spoke: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the Lord. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!" Jeremiah 18:5-6
Job couldn't yet see what lay ahead, but we know the Lord would restore and bless him with more than he ever had. In the midst of his trials, Job was clay in the Potter's hands.
Like Job, we often struggle to see beyond our trials. Even if a trial lasts a lifetime, it pales in comparison to the eternal glory we'll experience with God. Friend, take heart! You belong to the Lord. He is shaping and reshaping you, and no matter how long it takes, a time of renewal will come (2 Corinthians 4:16-17).
